March 16, 2017: CHANTICLEER PARK AWARDED  $500,000   

(09:40) Live Oak – The County of Santa Cruz has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the National Park Service to help build the first phase of Chanticleer park in live oak.  The new park, will contain LEO’s Haven, the first inclusive playground in the county the county.   in addition to the playground, the park will include restrooms, parking, pathways and improvements to the existing community garden, bike pump track and off leash dog areas.    The park is estimated to cost 4.7 million dollars, and 2.1 million of that has been raised so far.   If you would like to donate go to santacruzplaygroundproject.org
