AAA Of Northern California is working to keep impaired drivers from getting behind the wheel and driving after they have imbibed alcohol. To that end the company is once again offering Tipsy Tow Service to inebriated people, who might otherwise drive. People do not need AAA coverage to take advantage of the Tipsy Tow offer. The service will run from 6 p.m. Friday night, until 6 a.m. Saturday morning. To get one of the free rides home, people can call 1-800-AAA-HELP, and state that they need a Tipsy Tow.
AAA estimates that a first-time misdemeanor D.U.I. conviction in California can cost more than $15,000…..for just the fines.
