(10:20) Santa Cruz County – Highway 35 (Bear Creek Road) will be closed for 1 week starting tomorrow. The road work will take place north of Zayante Road to repair storm related damages. Residents on the Boulder Creek side may use Bear Creek Road to reach Boulder Creek or Highway 35 to Black Road. Motorists on the Highway 17 side can use Highway 35/Summit Road to Highway 17. Road work will begin tomorrow and re-open Thursday, March 9th. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
