(07:45) Santa Cruz – A man was arrested after he led officers on a short pursuit in a stolen vehicle on Tuesday. The incident happened just before 3:00 p.m. on the Westside of Santa Cruz. Police located 46 year-old Charles Nelson in a stolen ford pickup truck on Chico Street. Police reported that Nelson speed off and abandoned the truck on West Cliff and Cowell. Nelson was located inside the Dream Inn. Nelson was arrested and transported to jail for vehicle theft, reckless driving, and violation of probation.
