Officials with schools in the Salinas City Elementary School District have been telling parents, that absences caused by students taking part in a national movement (and striking from school tomorrow), will count as unexcused absences. That’s when people are expected to go out on strike from work, and school in support of immigrants. School officials are asking parents to consider other alternatives….such as having their children wear yellow….to show their support of the national protest.
