(10:15) Salinas – The Salinas Police responded to the 500 block of Terrace Street after a shot spotter was activated. The incident happened at 11:30 last night. The arriving officer spotted a vehicle leaving the area and followed it. The driver, 20 year-old Elijah Gonzalez, reached a dead end and exited the vehicle. Officers used a taser as Gonzalez reached for his pockets several times. Gonzalez was arrested and booked in Monterey County Jail, for several weapons charges. Bullet casings were found in the area but there were no persons, vehicles, or buildings struck. This case is still being investigated.
