A study, published recently, indicates that Dungeness Crabs are likely to face a serious threat when oceans become more acidic as the carbon-dioxide levels increase. That’s because the ocean acidification will cause a decline in food sources for the Dungeness Crab. That doesn’t bode well for the West Coast’s Dungeness Crab Fisheries…which are currently valued at $220 million.
