(07:50) Hollister – A man entered a grocery store, assaulted the manager and attempted to kidnap an employee on Tuesday. The incident took place at the Lucky’s grocery in Hollister. 50 year old David Abeyta, from San Leandro, claimed to be armed when he walked into the Store. Abeyta demanded the manager get down on the ground and struck him on the head multiple times. Abeyta attempted to kidnap an employee but she was able to escape. Abeyta was arrested outside of the store and booked into the San Benito County Jail on charges of battery with bodily injury, burglary, false Imprisonment and committing criminal threats.
