January 10, 2017: Update: Pair Rescued Submerged Car at SC Harbor

(08:40) Santa Cruz – A man and a woman were rescued from a submerged vehicle in the Santa Cruz Harbor on Saturday.  At about 7:15 p.m. an employee at the Crow’s Nest Restaurant, Jessica Berg, saw a car go down the boat launch ramp and enter the water.  9-1-1 was called while another worker, Adrain Alp, jumped into the water and brought the driver and passenger to safety.   The driver, Michael Sanchez and passenger Dana Olson, were transported to the hospital, one in critical condition.  They have both been charged with DUI.
