(09:00) Salinas – A 90 day traffic study confirmed safety issues in North Salinas. Drivers trying to avoid North Main Street and Laurel Drive frequently use Iris Drive as alternative. The study indicated there were safety issues with drivers going to fast. Some of the improvements that were suggested by city officials at last nights meeting were to make sidewalk improvements, install speed bumps and parking enforcement. The Public Works Department will put together recommendations and present them to the community early next year.
