(12:13) OAKLAND- Authorities say that 24 people are confirmed dead from a fire at a dance party in a converted warehouse. The fire broke out at about 11:30 p.m. on Friday in the 4000 square foot building. In November the city opened an investigation into allegations that the former warehouse turned artists studio was being as an illegal residence by at least 12 people, and was serving as a venue for illegal dance concerts. Over 100 people are estimated to have been at the warehouse when the fire broke out and officials are estimating the death toll will rise as debris is searched.
