November 21, 2106: Bobcat Sightings

(11:20) Santa Cruz County – The Wildlife Emergency Services has reported that there have been a handful of bobcat sightings in the area.   The cats that have been spotted have been described as being sick.   Researchers believe that the cats are sick due to ingesting rodenticide, which is caused by rodents poisoned with anticoagulants.  Typically they have thick golden and gray spotted coats and when they become sick their coats turn dark brown.  The Wildlife Emergency Services is requesting the public email Rebecca@wildlifeservices.org if you happen to see a bobcat hanging around your yard and or drinking from your pool or fountain.  These are common signs the cat is sick and needs help.
