November 21, 2016: The Salvation Army Needs Volunteers

(10:30) Monterey County – The Salvation Army launched the red kettle and bell ringing fundraiser last Friday.  So far 400 volunteers have signed up to help his holiday season.   The Monterey Peninsula Corps is still in need of volunteers.  They would like to have 15 hundred volunteers in order to reach their goal of 100- thousand dollars.  The money that is raised stays in the community and goes to programs like the Good Samaritan House, which provides housing for people who are homeless.  The money will also be used towards feeding programs at Christmas time and year round.
