October 26, 2016: Burn Suspension Lifted

(10:50) Santa Cruz & San Mateo Counties – As of Monday at 8 a.m. Cal Fire lifted the burn suspension for San Mateo and Santa Cruz Counties.  Cal Fire advises those possessing current and valid agricultural and hazard reduction burn permits can now resume burning on permissible burn days.  Those wishing to burn must verify it is a permissive burn a day prior to burning.  The pile burning requirements or as follows:  Only dry natural vegetation can be burned, the burning of trash or painted wood or other debris is prohibited,  no not burn on windy days,  piles should be no larger than 4 feet in diameter and height,  clear a 10 foot diameter down to bare soil around your piles, have a shovel and water source nearby,  an adult is required to be in attendance of the fire at all times.
