One  of  the  largest  of  all  toothed  whales  was  spotted  in  the  Monterey  Bay  this  month….a  place  where  one  hasn’t  been  spotted  for  5  years.   The  male  Sperm  Whale  has  actually  been  seen  several  times  by  different  people,  always  in  fairly  deep  waters  (fairly  close  to  the  shore).    Male  Sperm  Whales  can  grow  to  be  40-60 feet  long,  and  their  primary  diet  is  squid.      Sperm  Whales  are on  the  Endangered  Species  List
