(16:03) APTOS- A Watsonville man has been arrested for impersonating a police officer. Following an investigation into reports of a man claiming to be an undercover Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputy, 61 year old James William Heffner was taken into custody at an Aptos coffee shop. A search of Heffner’s vehicle uncovered four loaded firearms and a Phoenix Police Officer’s badge. On Tuesday, Heffner was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on charges of carrying a stolen firearm, receiving stolen property, and impersonating a law enforcement officer.
