(10:26) MONTEREY- The Monterey County District Attorney’s office is investigating an officer involved shooting. The shooting took place at 6 a.m. Saturday at The Casa Verde Inn in Monterey following a six hour standoff during an attempt to execute an arrest warrant on homicide suspect 36 year old Paulo Barcenas. Authorities say the suspect opened fire on police and was taken in to custody and hospitalized after a deputy returned fire. Barcenas was arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in May in The Castroville canyon Area.
