(11:53) WATSONVILLE- Watsonville Police Chief David Honda has announced a re-structuring of the middle management positions. The most visible changes will be the elimination of the two deputy chief positions for one assistant chief. Also planned are the creation of Captains positions for current lieutenants, as that rank is reorganized in the wake of the recent firing of a lieutenant over allegations of sexual misconduct. A formal promotion ceremony is tentative for January, once the restructure is complete and the positions are filled.
