(12:30) Salinas – The City of Salinas is asking people with neighborhood improvement projects to apply for a Neighborhood Beautification Grant. The neighborhood Beautification Initiative is part of the City’s Neighborhood Services Program. The purpose of the program is to get residents involved in a project that will help promote healthier, safer, cleaner, and more attractive neighborhoods. People who are interested in applying are encouraged to attend a grant information meeting that will be held on October 6, at 6p.m. at the Salinas Recreation Center. People can also receive information by calling the Neighborhood Services Coordinator at 831-758-7166. The deadline to apply will be on October 20th.
