(12:23) BIG SUR- A planned power outage is in effect in the Big Sur area. The outage went into effect yesterday (Sunday) at 2 p.m. to coincide with the closure of Highway 1. The following areas were de-energized:South of the Fernwood vicinity, and North of Dolan Creek. This emergency planned outage may last up to 24 hours. For information specific to this emergency planned outage, customers may contact PG&E at 1-800-743-5000.
