(1015) SALINAS- A man was arrested after police received calls about an erratic driver brandishing a handgun in Salinas on Friday. An officer located the suspect vehicle on Williams Road and Market Street and attempted to stop the car, the driver continued on eventually stopping in a parking area behind a Williams Road business. The driver remained uncooperative and used a pellet handgun in an attempt to provoke police into firing upon him. The man was tased, then subdued by a K9 unit. 29 year old Aziz Ahmed was booked into county jail on multiple charges, including DUI and resisting arrest.
