(09:06) SANTA CRUZ – One woman was killed in a crash in Santa Cruz on Monday. The incident occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Highway 1 near the Highway 17 onramp. Officials say the 23-year-old woman was travelling northbound when she veered off the road, struck a tree, and crashed into a ditch. The victim was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The cause of the crash is under investigation. (S.G.)
