(08:03) ELKHORN SLOUGH – More Leopard Sharks are being found in the Elkhorn Slough than in recent years. Scientists believe that leopard sharks and other species are migrating to, and breeding in, the slough because the water has changed to a more marine environment (from a more estuarian one). The saltier water makes the slough more suitable for the sharks and other creatures.
