(16:00) MONTEREY COUNTY – A man, who was one of the support members for today’s Amgen race, died on Highway 1. He was riding a motorcycle behind the pack of bicyclists when he began to choke, lost consciousness, and crashed his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene south of Big Sur. His passenger (who was reportedly a videographer taping the 4th Stage of the race), survived the crash.
