(08:56) MARINA – Although Del Rey Oaks already has an armored vehicle, the Marina Police Department wants one too. The Marina Police Chief says although they’d be happy to share their vehicle with the 6 other agencies they work with, borrowing Del Rey Oaks’ armored vehicle would take to long to go pick up. If they get the M-R-A-P they want, they plan to only deploy it during critically violent, or potentially violent situations in which they have already called out the S-W-A-T team. if the city council approves the proposal, officials hope the armored vehicle would be ready in six months.
