(06:10) A wildfire burned about 50 acres of brush near Salinas yesterday afternoon. The blaze, which was along Old Stage Road near Encinal Road) was called in around 1:30, and fully contained by 4:15 p-m. One person suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation after he was trapped too close to the fire. The cause of that wildland blaze is being investigated.
