(17:00) WATSONVILLE – Although it’s too soon to tell if they are mating, there is another pair of Bald Eagles living in the Harkins Slough in Watsonville. After the death of one of a mated pair of Bald Eagles that were living there last year, scientists thought it would be longer before they’d see another pair in the Harkins Slough area.
The original pair showed up at Pinto Lake in 2012, but they didn’t produce hatchlings until after they moved to the slough 2 years later.
