(21:51) CALIFORNIA – California residents conserved nearly 1.3 million acre-feet of water between June of 2015, and march of this year. Although it rained a bunch in some areas of the state, California is in the 5th year of a drought, and so residents are urged to continue to conserve water. An updated, and extended, Emergency Regulation was adopted by the board on February 2nd, and it extends restrictions on urban water use through October; while providing urban water suppliers some latitude in their conservation requirements. Any changes made by the board May 18th, would be anticipated to take effect in June, and remain in effect through October 31st, 2016.
