(16:00) SALINAS – A high speed chase in Salinas this morning led to the arrest of a driver, and the citing of his passenger, after the 2 abandoned the vehicle and hid under a house. The incident began around 7 a.m. when officers tried to conduct a traffic stop for expired registration. When the driver started speeding toward a school, officers cancelled the pursuit. The vehicle was found a short time later on the 1100 block of Granada, and a K-9 unit found 2 people hiding under a house on the 100 block of Santa Teresa Avenue. 29 year-old Robert Glaze was arrested and booked into Monterey County Jail; while his passenger, 26 year-old Patricia Ann Mayor was cited for Resisting Arrest and Delaying A Peace Officer….and released. Glaze faces possible charges of Felony Evading With Wanton Disregard For The Safety Of Others, and several Gun Charges.
