(07:35) SALINAS – A community meeting was held in the Toro Park area of Salinas on Tuesday to address residents concerned about the area’s rising crime rate. The area has been seeing a recent increase in car burglaries and thefts. Over 170 incidents have been reported so far this year. Monterey County Sheriff Steve Bernal was at the meeting to assure residents that the agency has already made several arrests. The Sheriff’s Office also plans on increasing patrols in the area.
