(11:12) SANTA CRUZ – Santa Cruz officials will meet Tuesday night to deliver a report on the progress of the city’s efforts to acquire the property occupied by the Beach Flats Community Garden. In October, the Seaside Company decided to not renew the city’s lease on the land containing the garden. The decision has been met with opposition by Beach Flats residents and other members of the Santa Cruz community. A rally is expected to kick off at the garden at 6 p.m. Attendees will then march to City Hall to attend the 7 p.m. city council meeting. (S.G.)
