(17:38) MONTEREY PENINSULA – A local coalition of water agencies and businesses has asked for a delay in some planned cutbacks. California American Water, along with the Monterey Peninsula Regional Water Authority and the Water Management Agency, the Pebble Beach Company, and the City Of Pacific Grove are all asking to delay some more before they have to start cutting back on pumping water from the Carmel River. The new request is expected to be voted on by seaside city council members tomorrow evening. If it gets approved by them, the request is likely to be filed with the state before May 1st.
