February 3, 2016: Carmel Selects New City Administrator

(08:23) CARMEL – Carmel officials have appointed a new city administrator. During Tuesday night’s city council meeting, leaders approved the appointment of 49-year-old Chip Rerig. He is currently Chief of Planning, Engineering and Environmental Compliance with the City of Monterey. Rerig previously served in Carmel’s Community Planning and Building Department. He has signed a five-year contract with the City of Carmel and will begin working as City Administrator later this month. He will replace interim City Administrator Mike Calhoun. (S.G.)
