February 2, 2016: Superbowl 50 Traffic Website

(20:17) SF and MONTEREY BAY AREAS – The initial events connected with Superbowl 50 have been held, and still hundreds of thousand of visitors are expected to flood into the region for the next several days. That is expected to lead to increased traffic congestion and traffic delays. To help keep the public aware of incidents that might impact their travels around the Greater San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas, the C-H-P has created a website that people can reference before getting into their cars, or onto public transportation. To sign up for emergency traffic and weather alerts, people can text SB50 to 888777, and they will be signed up for alerts specifically related to the Superbowl.
