January 27, 2016: Salinas Approves Ordinance Allowing Commercial Medical Marijuana Businesses

(07:20) SALINAS – Salinas officials have approved a measure that will enable commercial medical marijuana businesses to operate within city limits. During a meeting Tuesday, the city council agreed to issue a set number of permits to businesses involved in the dispensing, cultivation, manufacturing or delivery of medical marijuana. Officials also voted to add a measure to the November ballot that would impose a 15 percent tax on medical marijuana businesses. (S.G.)
