(11:11) MONTEREY – Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Monterey Tuesday night. The incident occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. at Via Paraiso Park. Three people were in a parked vehicle when they were reportedly approached by four men and a female armed with handguns. They robbed the victims at gunpoint before fleeing through the wooded area of the park towards Martin Street. The robbers were described at three black men with thin to medium builds, a white male with a thin build, and a heavyset Hispanic female. All were in their late teens or early twenties.
