(11:49) SANTA CRUZ – The executive director of the Homeless Services Center in Santa Cruz is stepping down. Jannan Thomas took the position a year ago after being recruited through a nationwide search. She has recently accepted a new job in her native Atlanta and will be leaving by month’s end. The center plans to launch a search for a new candidate and have an interim executive director fill the position for up to five months. The organization’s ongoing financial struggles may slow the transition. (S.G.)
