September 25, 2015: Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Focusing on Jail

(06:45) MONTEREY COUNTY – The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office is making adjustments to improve the management of the county jail. The facility is currently overpopulated, exceeding its maximum capacity of 825 inmates.  In response, the Sheriff’s Office is planning to shift resources and send 18 deputies to work at the jail. The change may impact the response time to low priority calls for service. (S.G.)
