September 2, 2015: Transient Arrested for Salinas Homicide

(14:10) SALINAS – A transient was arrested Tuesday night in Salinas and charged with homicide. Last Tuesday, 26-year-old Tyler Webb was found with a major head injury on Soledad Street around 10:30 p.m., and later died at a hospital. Salinas Police determined that a known transient in the area, 42-year-old Davion Smith, was responsible for his death. Smith allegedly punched Webb in the face, causing him to fall back and strike the back of his head on the surrounding concrete. The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information is encouraged to contact Salinas Police.
