(08:46) MONTEREY COUNTY – A King City woman has been found guilty of battery and resisting arrest. 33-year-old Maria Perez was apprehended at her home in January after preventing her two children from attending school. She resisted and kicked an officer during her arrest. In February, Perez was taken into custody again after attacking her father. She faces up to a year in county jail when she is sentenced Thursday.
