(07:18) SANTA CRUZ – The Santa Cruz Public Library System will be hosting an event this week to kickoff the 2015 Beneath the Waves Film Festival. The festival will take place at the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center from September 24-26. On Thursday, Tamara Doan with the California Coastal Commission will present information about the festival, which serves as a global platform for promoting ocean conservation. The presentation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Downtown Branch of the Santa Cruz Public Library. (S.G.)
