(07:00) MONTEREY – Monterey officials have approved plans to remove and restore the Monterey Mural. Beginning this week, the 45-foot long mural will be removed in preparation for the renovation of the Monterey Conference Center. Every tile of the mosaic will be restored and reinstalled once renovations are complete. The conference center is expected to re-open in early 2017. (S.G.)
