(17:55) MOSS LANDING- The Monterey County SPCA performed its largest animal rescue to date earlier this week. A spokesperson for the organization said that an anonymous call led to the rescue of 105 animals from a quarter acre parcel on Dolan Road near Moss Landing Monday. The animals were emaciated, most of the 34 calves could barely walk, many dogs weighed in at half their expected body weight. The bodies of five dead animals were also recovered. The SPCA has forwarded a report to the distrct attorney’s office.
