(21:28) KING CITY- A King City man has been arrested on attempted murder charges. Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an attack on the 45,000 block of Royal Drive. A female victim told officers that 43 year old Robbie Smith forced his way into the residence and began strangling the victim while telling her he was going to kill her. The victim was able to fight Smith off who then fled the residence. Smith was located at his home and taken into custody on attempted murder charges.
