The radio station’s board of directors is currently seeking ways to avoid bankruptcy and recover from debt. During the meeting, the organization KUSP Forward urged the board to adopt a transition plan made by the Community Leadership Planning Group. The proposal presents a set of recommendations which aim to establish financial sustainability, with an emphasis on restoring local programming and community participation. The board decided to not vote on whether or not to adopt the proposal, and plans instead to focus on increasing listenership.
