(15:40) SANTA CRUZ- A burglary was thwarted by two Santa Cruz residents last weekend. Authorities say that on Saturday officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home on Broadway Street. On scene officers found the residents had kept the would by burglar at bay the a wooden sword until he became frustrated and threw something through a window injuring 1 resident. A canine unit located and apprehended 22 year old Zachary Torres. Torres was booked into county jail on multiple charges.
