(9:45) MONTEREY – No one was injured in an apartment fire in Monterey this morning. Two bedrooms on the second floor of an apartment building close to Montecito and Ramona Ave. caught on fire. The building was unoccupied. Firefighters have put out the fire and are securing the apartment. Parts of those streets remain closed. (M.K.)
