(10:01) SANTA CRUZ – The Santa Cruz Public Works Department has announced that parking lot 9 is now closed for a retrofit project. The lot is located in the downtown area at Cedar and Elm streets. Crews are installing a system that will collect and treat storm water runoff before it flows to the San Lorenzo River. The lot will also be resurfaced and more pay stations will be added. The project is expected to be completed by August 15. (S.G.)
