June 18, 2015: Santa Cruz County Jail, Juvenile Hall Receives Funding for Mental Health Services

(09:22) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Santa Cruz County has received two state grants to fund mental health services for inmates. The Board of State and Community Corrections has awarded the county with nearly $2 million, which will be distributed evenly between the jail and juvenile hall. The funds will be used to improve mental health care and staffing at both facilities. The board has distributed over $17 million in grants to correctional facilities across 16 counties. (S.G.)
