(07:35) SALINAS – A Salinas man was arrested Tuesday following a standoff with law enforcement. Officials say 60-year-old felon Curtis Barnett refused to leave his apartment when his landlord served him a final eviction notice. Deputies were dispatched to the complex on North Main Street at around 10:30 a.m. Barnett told deputies he had a gun and threatened to harm himself. SWAT officers and police were called to the scene and the apartment building was evacuated. Barnett surrendered at around 6:30 p.m. and was taken to the hospital for evaluation. He will be charged for being a felon in possession of a firearm. (S.G.)
